Did you enjoy visions of donkeys walking down a narrow trail in Copeland's Grand Canyon Suite, or a hillside of mountain flowers in Appalatian Spring? Then try Toussaint's 'Three Suites'. Read the story lines in the CD insert first (English version included), then sit back and let the music and your imagination take over.

Of the three, 'Ste De Las Ciencias' (Suite of the Sciences) and Ste Del Ballet 'Dias De Los Muertos' (Suite of the Ballet 'Day of the Dead') produced the most vivid images.

'Ciencias' takes you through a science museum, one subject at a time. Can you see the majesty in the stars during 'Astronomia', or appreciate the preciousness of emerging life while listening to 'Biologica'?

'Dias De Los Muertos' follows a young girl from a small Mexican village to 'La Ciudad' (The City). The suite opens with the girl innocently playing by a river, and includes scenes from the death of a relative and the subsequent funeral procession.

Top notch music, skillfully woven around its subjects. I hope Amazon adds sound bites from the 2nd/3rd suites. The Amazon.com titles are in Spanish only, but read them and you'll get the general idea.
