This review is from: Toward a Science of Translating: With Special Reference to Principles and Procedures Involved in Bible Translating (Hardcover)
I have had the fortune of knowing personally professor Nida at Misano (Italy) in 2007, he's still able to show his deep intelligence as in this book, that is a classic among translation scholars. Even if there are opinions that you might not completely share (like the translation of metaphors in the Bible with comparisons to make them more understandable), the book after half a century is still very useful and full of insight. Who can tell the same of a book in this field?
