This book is a great introduction to the "real world" of economics. As an economist with a strong background in government service, Dr. Wolfram is far more qualified to address issues of political economy than many well known "celebrity" economists. Read this book, and you'll understand how economics works everywhere outside of the Harvard Faculty club...

Dr. Wolfram is not only an incredible teacher in the classroom (as I can say from personal experience), but Towards a Free Society opened up the world of economics to me in an entirely new way. It finally all makes sense, and it serves as a constant reference when I am confused about a concept. I recommend this book to any economics or politics student, as well as anyone who has an interest in obtaining a stronger understanding of how we can improve our nation and move Towards a Free Society!-From a fond former student
