5.0 out of 5 stars Among the best of pulp in the 80's, November 8, 2002

(REAL NAME)
Axel Kilgore the pen name for Jerry Ahern, is among the best writers of pulp in the 80's. This series is remarkable in it's day for it's scope and imagination. Ahern brings about a totally believable "nontraditional" hero. This book series was among the first of the 'mercenary' sub genre of mens action genre. Treat yourself and read the whole series.
