5.0 out of 5 stars Another Smashing English Import, April 1, 2008
Everyone please check them out! I was privileged enough to get to see these guys live and they are fantastic. The lead singer, Coyle Girelli, is absolutely amazing and has a singing style that's very unique and original. The words are also very moving, but at the same time uplifting. The beats are catchy and the choruses really get you humming along. So either download this album today or wait until the physical CD comes out later this month. I promise you will not be disappointed!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant Debut Record, April 3, 2008
By
iamdmann (New York, NY) - See all my reviews
Your Vegas took a long time to release a proper debut record. The band chose to tour the US and Europe in order to let the songs evolve on the road. By the time they hit the studio the songs had changed a bit from the early demos, but the biggest difference is the level of confidence that the finished record's production shows. The mix is clean and the songs stand up to repeated listenings, most of them become even more enjoyable over time. If the band stay on track this record will prove to be a bright starting point in a stellar career. This is a vibrant rock record that doesn't depend on cliches, but still manages to feel like you're hearing a band that you've heard before and wanted, but never could, identify. Buy this record and as you listen to it chances are that you'll connect with the songs the first time you listen to them it will seem like meeting a long lost friend and rediscovering all the things that led you to like them in the first place. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Album!, May 25, 2008

I saw Your Vegas live in Phoenix with my son (his first "real" concert) as they opened for Duran Duran. People don't usually get into the warm-up band but Your Vegas was different....there was a positive vibe through the audience as they played. I bought the album at the concert and have to say it's the best album I've heard in quite awhile. If you get a chance to see them live do it...they're great and sound even better than on the album.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Vegas, February 22, 2011

Easily the best rock band since U2 and Coldplay in the same music category. Every track is unique yet still maintains the same magic flavor as the last. Even though you'll be amazed by the music the first listen, Your Vegas grows on you! You'll find yourself skipping through your mp3 player to find a Your Vegas song. 3 years of enjoying this album and it never gets old! The transcending lyrics and radient acoustics of this band are brilliant! Did someone say album #2 this year? :D

5.0 out of 5 stars Sparkling Rock Debut for a Talented Duo, June 8, 2010

If you even remotely like rock of any kind, I bet you will like Your Vegas. This album feels old school and futuristic at the same time. Your Vegas has flavors of U2, Coldplay...well it's really hard to compare them to anyone, because their music feels so original. The duo's voices blend flawlessly as if there were only one lead singer.

Anthemic, brilliant, melodic, and an awesome rock out. Every song on this album is great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Band, Album and Production., April 8, 2009

I saw "Your Vegas" opening act for Duran Duran last world tour. I could not believe what I was expose to. Raw, authentic and passionate music, singer and band itself. Sure enough, purchase album next day and fascinated by simple bits, not overly produced music and clear voice. Exceed my expectation (I'm very spectacle music lover, specially for new bands) Recommend to all U2 and Simple Mind fans to add this album to their collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars 2nd best album of 2008, April 7, 2009
This review is from: A Town And Two Cities (Audio CD)
Toss up between this and Thriving Ivory's debut. Needless to say, this record is much better than the other shamelessly hyped releases from the "big box" bands of the UK.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Town and Two Cities: Phenomenal Debut for Your Vegas, February 27, 2009
This review is from: A Town And Two Cities (Audio CD)
Your Vegas's cd made its debut in April of '08. & what a treasure this musical collection has turned out to be. From the very first lyric uttered to the last guitar chord orchestrated ,this album is destined to be a classic. The vocals that lead singer, Coyle Girelli, possess are unique in that he has a range like no other I've heard. The rhythym section of bassist, Jon Langford and drummer, Mal Taylor is funky, hard driven and tight. Mat Steel is a musical genius on lead guitar. His talent truly shines thru on every chord. Pulling all this musical magic together is the keyboardist, Mark Heaton who multi-tasks by alternating guitar/keys throughout the whole of this cd.

A Town and Two Cities is definitely worth its weight in gold. Every song on this cd is worthy of listening to on a daily basis..yes its that good!
If you truly enjoy an excellent quality of rock music and want to restore your belief in music as a whole ..then you need this cd..NOW

5.0 out of 5 stars Life is all about having fun...., November 4, 2008
This review is from: A Town And Two Cities (Audio CD)
I first heard of Your Vegas when they were opening for the Bravery & Fiction Plane. Having no previous knowledge of who this band was or where they came from, I was pleasantly surprized. I hate to admit that I have never been one to pay much attention to the opening band of any show. This band was different & they grabbed my attention & it has been quite a musical journey. After seeing them live I had to get their CD. Unfortunatly I had to wait as it wasn't released yet so I pre-ordered it(another thing I don't normally do) I was so excited to get a hold of it.

This CD takes you on a musical journey. You can not listen to it & at least get stuck on one track if not more. The songs flow into each other. If you are looking for some new music, I highly reccommend you give these guys a try. You may end up loving a new band like I did.

5.0 out of 5 stars You NEED this album in your collection., October 7, 2008

I had the pleasure of first hearing Your Vegas while they toured with The Bravery this past Spring and have been hopelessly addicted ever since. In fact, there should be a warning sticker on this album: WARNING! HIGHLY ADDICTIVE! Wonderfully written and arranged songs with a great sound and beautiful vocals. This album is the best debut in YEARS with every song being single-worthy. When was the last time you could say that about any album?
