This review is from: Toxic Narcotic: Misery (Audio CD)
Misery: Raw, and dirty crust outta Minneapolis. Production is rough, but I like it that way.Toxic Narcotic: Boston area punks with a little cleaner sound to them. Been around for years, just like Misery. Two great bands, one great disc!!!

This review is from: Toxic Narcotic: Misery (Audio CD)
I just bought this CD, and like the rest of you punk rock fans I alone bought it for the Toxic Narcotic side of which was placed upon this CD. Oddly, upon sticking in my CD player, I found I enjoyed listening the first half (The Misery side), and discovered Toxic Narcotic can't do anything new or worthwhile. I was dissapointed to find out one of my favorite punk rock bands managed to put all their old and lame songs on this wonderful CD of which misery has made. Werid, never heard misery before I bought this, but I am starting to more and more enjoy them when I put this in. This CD has all the basic three power chord playing punk rock simplicity of which you should expect. This is real punk rock, and not emo or pop... so those who like new found glory and the like will be shocked upon hearing this. I recommand this to fans of screeching weasel and other "horrible" punk rock bands.Misery steals the show on this one, if you want to hear great Toxic Narcotic songs, go check out their older CDs. |
