I have to say, from what I have seen/read around the net, these are supposedly "the sourest candy," (that's according to some fans). The sourness wears off after 15 seconds, and you're then left with a semi-sweet, artificially flavored hard candy. It has been a while since I've had a Warhead candy, but if memory serves me correctly, I'd say these are no more sour, possibly even less sour. I'll be grabbing some Warheads next time I'm out so I can do a proper side-by-side comparison, after which I'll update this review.

You've got 5 flavors here, Apple, Black Cherry, Lemon, Watermelon, Blue Raspberry, and the Mystery Flavor (which I think is most likely supposed to be Strawberry). Apple tastes similar to a Green Apple Jolly Rancher after it's sourness quickly fades. Of all the flavors, lemon is the worst, imo. Watermelon, Black Cherry and the mystery flavor are my favorite three, and black cherry seemed the sourest (also looks the most sour based on the crazy amount of white acid coating it).

The first couple you pop of these aren't bad. But if you sit and continue popping more in your mouth after each one, they do seem to intensify in sourness (most likely because your tongue is irritated). I've just eaten 5 or 6 and my tongue's feeling a slight bit burned.

Pretty good candies overall, and I love the toxic waste barrels they are packaged in. These would make a fantastic treat to give out on Halloween to the young trick-r-treaters. Give 'em each a whole drum! Unfortunately, these drums are a bit smaller than the ones that can double as a coin bank (which also come with stickers inside 'em).

All-in-all, if you're a fan of sour candies, or you're looking for a neat candy just for novelty's sake, give these a try. 4/5 stars

My kids would eat this crap every minute of every day. I think it tastes like hot vomit but they enjoy it until their mouthes hurt
