Toxin: The Devil You Know,

I appreciated the deeper look into the personal conflict surrounding Toxin and Patrick Mulligan. A well put together work of art, and a sure favorite of mine. On a more personal note, I was less impressed with some of the artwork. Personally, I attribute this to being a younger reader, spoiled by the "shiny" look of the newer comic books and graphic novels. However, my opinion comes from a direct comparison between Toxin: The Devil You Know and Vemon vs. Carnage, where Toxin is introduced. I was far more attracted to the artwork in Venom vs. Carnage. However, as far as visuals go, Toxin: The Devil You Know is still nice, and the story carries the character progression forward beautifully, all the way to the end. 4 stars out of 5.
