Fun and funny song and very enjoyable!,

This is really a cute, tongue-in-cheek song with a simple melody, accompanied primarily by piano and snare drums. The tone of the piece is fun and the lyrics make it funny (and oh so true). It is not a loud piece; it just goes along with its light marching rhythm, breaks into a sweet, pretty, string-accompanied interlude of reminiscences and then returns to the chore of toy extraction. It sounds like it could have been pulled right out of a modern Christmas musical.
It describes the yearly chore and frustration of removing toys from their complicated and difficult to remove packaging. I think most of us can relate to that, especially those hermetically-sealed, clear plastic enclosures that can only be opened with scissors, a sharp knife or wire-cutters, and of course, you'll need antiseptic and bandages for cuts you get from the sharp edges. Sadly, little children cannot open these packages like they used to in the "old days". Catchy tune! This should be a song you will want to play every year. If this doesn't put a smile on your face then I can't imagine what will! Definitely, a download!

Hysterical!,

I heard this song on the radio last Christmas and thought it was hilarious! I didn't know who wrote it and had never heard it again, so am so excited that I just got it free! Sara Groves is a very smart & talented singer-songwriter. It's great that someone is finally commenting on the enraging absurdity of toy packaging! Great song, great artist.

Great song! My young kids even appreciate the humor of the song after attempting to extract a few toys of their own. The catchy little tune will really stick with you . This will become a permanent song in my Christmas playlist.

This is a brilliant little original christmas tune. Very catchy, upbeat, about the frustrations of modern packaging.
This is a gem that you shouldn't be without for the low low price of free.

The soft and light-hearted tune takes a fun jab at the all to real frustrations parents experience each Christmas morning as they wrestle to free their childrens' new toys from the theft deterant packaging that stops just short of chains and padlock. Set to a catchy melody this is a song you will play again and again each holiday season.

I bought this album last year and fell in love with it. This song in particular is a standout since it has a very catchy melody, upbeat tempo and the lyrics are hilarious. Anyone who has been the parent of young children will totally "get" the message of the song and my 16-year-old daughter (who hasn't had the experience of dealing with toy packaging yet) thinks it's cute and funny.
A great intro to this album/artist and I hope this freebie will encourage folks to try the whole album. Excellent!
