Even if you don't have youngsters in your home, you're probably well aware of the "Toy Story" phenomenon. Disney/Pixar will be bringing the third "Toy Story" film to the screen this summer and to get little ones ready for it, the "Toy Story 3 Movie Theater" is just what the doctor ordered.

The book itself is fun for youngsters to read along with adult help. It gives kids a brief look at the upcoming film. It tells of Buzz and Woody's latest adventure. The primary setting is a daycare center. A host of new characters are introduced as well.

Adding a bit more fun to the book is a "movie projector" that comes with six "reels" that each contain four stills from the film. The reels can be placed into the projector and then aimed at just about any flat surface. The stills look very good. Focusing the stills might be difficult for younger children to handle, but children four years and up will most likely be able handle the projector with only minor assistance from adults.

If you have younger children at home who enjoy "Toy Story," this book is a very good choice for them. If your child is over the age of ten, they might not find this book as appealing.

After noticing my almost five year old daughter was unusually quiet this past weekend, I did a quick search of our house. Unable to find her while calling for her and trying to avoid completely panicking, I noticed her closet door shut (which was odd). Turns out; she had shut herself in her closet with this projector. It happened several times over the weekend and she even included my one year old in on the fun (its rare to see them sharing a toy). So say what you want about picture quality (my husband seemed to be the only one to get sharp images with a distance of several feet), or flimsiness of projector itself (the components are easy to take apart). Because this toy held her interest which some of the priciest toys can not claim. It was easy enough for her to work independently. And when she had a friend over, it was the first toy she wanted to show off. With TS3 coming out, this toy is a sure thing (and a pretty great buy with batteries included).

Just received this yesterday. This was a very neat little package. My troop of little ones was excited about the Toy Story book and the projector. They are even more excited about the movie coming out in June.

The projector works fine, but the quality of the images are a little grainy, but are good enough for the children. It is small and uses flashlight and reel technology.

It has 6 discs that load into the top and follows along with the story.

Very cute and creates an interactive story with visual aides as you read along. I think the children really enjoyed it. But I think my two year old enjoys it the most. He seems to be very intrigued with the control he haS over the image.

This is a big hit in our house. I'm sure they will enjoy this throught the summer and will want more book and reels to go with it.

Most children love flashlights and all things that light up so this is a great idea to promote the movie as well as for little fans of the movie.

Aside from a standard movie story book with great illustrations, it comes with a "projector" which is in essence a flashlight with the ability to project 24 scenes from the movie with a focal range of something along the lines of 6 inches to 12 feet or so. It is well crafted for little hands and easy enough for them to operate. The design is catchy enough to get the attention of my little 3 year old niece.

A good product though just a little bit misleading in the packaging as this is just a still image projector and not one that projects a movie.

The idea here is that you have a book that has an abridged version of the Toy Story 3 movie plot, and a little projector with stills from the movie that you can display at appropriate marked points as you read through the book. My kids (3 and 2) liked both aspects separately, but didn't have the patience to use the two together. They love the Toy Story movies, so they enjoyed reading the book. And they love to play around with the projector, but mostly just as a flashlight. The idea of putting in the image disks and looking at them was a bit too advanced. And of course now the disks are lost somewhere in the house. But overall they continue to enjoy both aspects so I think it's a winner.

My three children were over joyed upon opening the Amazon box and finding this book. We read through the book several times and then at bed time each one took turns in running the mini projector with pictures.

The book was excellent with a great story line and the mini projector was a perfect accompaniment for the story. It was easy to use and even my 4 year old had no trouble in selecting the right disc and moving from slide 1 to slide 4. The six discs were easy to put into the projector and then were held fast in the book.

My kids certainly loved the story and want to head out to the movie when it arrives in the theater.

My kids have loved these Disney Movie Theater Books. There is just something about playing in the dark and projecting images on the wall with a little flashlight that delights the kid in us all. This one is the Toy Story 3 version. It has images from the new movie. The story in the book is good too. The projector doubles as a flashlight and comes free of the book, so it can be played with separately. For the amount of fun we have had this is definitely worth it. It also makes a great gift.
