Toy Story 3 Windows/Mac,
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars

This game is fun, but has slight differences from the PS3 version(which I also own.) For example, you don't toss townspeople into buildings to customize them. Customization isn't as deep either. Instead of applying individual pieces, you apply sets. You can only drive cars in the stunt parks too.

I was initially thrilled with this game when I tried it out. It's a great game for young gamers and beginners. It's very friendly in that way. However I've learned that the versions of this game for the PS3 & Xbox 360 have ten times more content compaired to the PC version. This is most noticable in Toy Box Mode where your options are greatly limited and the amount of availible space in which to roam is much smaller. It's still fun but once all of the quests have been done, there really isn't anything much else to do. Your limits on customization of the buildings and townsfolk are also limited to collecting complete sets instead of collecting the individual items. For example, when you customize one townsperson with a particular outfit, ALL the townspeople get that outfit. Same with the buildings. One building customized, they're all customized in the matching set. Again, this game is fun at first but once you've played through story mode about a dozen times and done all of the quests in Toy Box mode as well as collected all of the gold stars (a bunch of in game achivements akin to the Xbox 360 achievements) then there's really nothing more to do. I have to give the game a gold star for one thing that I personally consider an answer to the fans. They finally gave us the opportunity to experience the Buzz Lightyear Game from the opening of Toy Story 2, something that I've always wanted to be able to do since seeing it for the first time.

The shipping was very fast for this product, which was good since my grandson was desperate for it. He is having a great time using it. Toy Story 3 is one of his favourite shows, and the video game keeps it alive for him.

This game starts out really nice, getting to the phone in Andy's room, and then getting 4 Army men to the other phone in the basement. Sunnyside Daycare Center is also a fun one. The graphics are pretty good. By the end, however, it's like Ghostbusters, shooting muffins and witches with a laser cannon. I'm not kidding. It has much potential, but really falls short in places. It gives awards to torching fairies, with dragon breath (from the dragon you ride on). Isn't that level supposed to be magical? It was stressful sometimes, after I tried to pass a level many many times, and finally did, only to be rewarded with one that was more abstract and harder to do. I'll be selling it soon.

TOO CHALLENGING FOR A CHILD (OR EVEN TEEN) AND TOO SILLY AND TOO CHILDISH FOR A GROWN UP. AND QUITE FRUSTRATING BTW. MUST REALLY LOVE TOY STORY TO LIKE THIS.

For a grown up man like me over 31, it was a fun delightfull inocent game, just great to make a change of the heavy kind of serious realms of GTA, Oblivion, Batman, etc.
