Toy Story 2 Jessie the Spunky Cowgirl

It's nice when a manufacturer makes the effort to do justice to a pre-existing chararcter and accurately create its toy counterpart. This Jessie captures the personality of the film character.

Our three-and-a-half-year-old loves her and has (currently) banished all other toys from her bed at night in favor of Jessie.

My complaints: the belt does not stay on without some very clever work--too much of a hassle for a young child; whassup with the hat? The last time it stayed on her head was when she was in the box, fresh from the store; I don't remember seeing this wardrobe on this character in the film--it is very much a "fashion look". Cute, but unnecessary. I would have rather if she stayed in her workin' duds.

Our daughter doesn't care if she's in jeans or not. She only cares that Jessie's fun to play with and only gets irked when the ribbon falls from her hair. All-in all a nice toy.

Just another barbie sized fashion doll and it is what it is. I really wish that they had stayed with the original theme so that we could have purchased Jesse and the horse to go with the talking Buzz and Woody from toy story.

We bought this doll for a 3 1/2 year old daughter who is just in love with Jesse. She is so cute in her box with her red hat and cardboard lasso. But as soon as you get her out of the box just breathing her can knock her hat off and you can never get it back on so it will stay....you are constantly tracking down it. The belt after five minutes of play then starts popping off. You are spending more time chasing the hat and belt down and dressing the doll then the kids are playing with it. I finally got my daughter to believe me when I told her it was OK if Jesse didn't wear her hat or belt... So much for teaching her to be completely dressed..( belt, shoes, socks...) There is another doll out of Jesse ( same doll) where she is in overall's but she still has that same hat and it still won't stay on.

The doll is fine, it's the hat. I don't think it ever fit. We have the woody doll for my son and my daughter gets mad because Jesses hat will not stay on.

MY DAUGHTER LOVES HER NEW JESSIE DOLL, BUT WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THE HAT, SHE CAME OUT OF THE BOX AND THE HAT FELL OFF, WE TRIED TO RUBBERBAND IT BACK ON BUT IT KEEPS FALLING OFF. THAT WAS A BIT DISAPPOINTING AND I EXPECTED HER HAIR TO BE MADE OF "YARN", BUT IT LOOKS LIKE BARBIE'S HAIR. ANOTHER LET DOWN. BUT "I" NOTICED THOSE THINGS, NOT MY DAUGHTER. SHE JUST SEE HERSELF AS JESSIE'S NEW OWNER AND I GUESS THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS.

My daughter seems to be hooked on this doll, her cowgirl charm has captured her heart! Jessie has top billing for rides in the car and sleeps in bed along side her owner. Not happy that her cowgirl hat will not stay on no matter what, and her cowgirl belt is already not staying on. All aside she is still loved, just like new!

My daughter loves the 2 movies. She has the woody doll and it has gone everyplace with us for 2 years! We decided to get the Jessie thinking that it would be made the same as woody. Well, it wasn't at all. She doesn't have yarn hair or plastic. The hair is just like a regular Barbie doll and I'm sure you know what that means. What will happen is she'll play with this doll for about 2 days and it will look like a dirty ol' toy with a knotted head of hair. If there is a doll just like woody could someone email me about it?

We fixed the hat problem by putting Shoe Goo on it and glueing it to her head. The hat never comes off and since we glued it before we gave it to our daughter she is none the wiser. Jessie is very realistic looking, except I wish she was more like the woody doll instead of like barbie. My daughter just adores her anyhow.

My daughter has been happy with Jessie from right out of the box, to the present time. I put the hat on the shelf,because it would not stay on and I was affraid we would lose it in a store. The only problem that I have is that My daughter wants a Woody doll to match her Jessie. I have not been able to find a woody that is the same size and make of Jessie. If any one can help me I would really appreciate it. Jessie is really a cutie pie. My daughter now wants to be her for halloween. Thanks, Jeanie jdke3@aol.com

I got this doll for my 22 month old daughter, and she loves it. She loved her brother's Woody doll, and I wanted her to have her own doll from the Toy Story 2 movie (which she loves to watch)! I agree that the hat is a problem, but I used heavy duty epoxy glue and just glued it to her head -- end of problem!
