Music, in the past decade, has descended for great sounds to... rap. Finally, something new. Simon Apple is a great band and I hope they produce more music. The drummer is absolutely outrageous! The best in the US! Buy this CD immediately.

"From The Toybox" by Simon Apple is the best album I've heard in a long time! Jeff Miller's songwriting is superb. The arrangements are intricate and compelling. The vocals are powerful, reminiscent of Steve Walsh's. The drummer's voice is awesome! I could listen to this album indefinitely; it really packs a musical punch and there's always something new to discover!

This CD is awsome I own it and the drummer is my drum teacher and he's cool.

This CD is just fantastic!! I listen to it all the time. I know the band personally and they are one great group of guys! If you are reading this and haven't heard this CD or ever heard of this group you should check out their CD. I believe you will love it! Keep up the great work guys!

This is the kind of CD that I can just play over and over again and never get tired of it. The lyrics are unique and mate with the music to perfection. There is so much to hear in the "stories" that are being told. The music has a wonderful varietal blend of notes that you could never accuse Simon Apple songs of "sounding all the same" yet their style is distinguishable. Although you really cannot compare Simon Apple to any other group, it's definitely a CD for any one enjoys listening to Kansas, Dave Matthews Band and Peter Gabriel. As to my favorite, that's a tough one, but I'd have to say it's "A Boy Like Me." I look forward to the next release. I have become a "seasoned" fan.

I keep hearing that "everything that can be written has been written." Obviously, whomever has quoted these words has never heard what Simon Apple continues to produce musically. The material is deep, but not pretentious. The chords are beautiful, and not expected. There's a feeling from deep within the heart; and a sarcasm that insists on success without without ever comprimising the true musicianship. These guys could play anything, but obviously care about the art, as well as pleasing the listener!

Awsome sounds liking to Peter Gabriel, Steely Dan, Dave Mathews and other greats, but still personal in their own way with style! These guys are great performers as well as muscians! Keep up the great work! Waiting for a new album......

I have not taken this CD out of my car's CD player since I bought it!! It is fresh, different and absolutely awesome. If you are looking for something new this is it. The songs are great, the music is great and the vocals are incredible. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has an ear for music and is tired of the trash that is out there today!!
