Even if you don't intend to do your own work, you owe it to yourself to check with Chilton's to see what's involved. I knew a set of front brakes on my Camry was going to run upwards of $250 at the dealership. But after reviewing the step by step instructions with illustrations, I knew I could do this one myself. Great way to get to know your car better. My only complaint - the book 'construction' isn't great. The paper is a step up from newsprint, and I'm not impressed. All in all, worth the investment; this one paid for itself the first time I used it.

This manual has been helpful in the short time that I've had it. It doesn't have quite everything that I was hoping for, but it does have most of what I need and I'm glad to have it. I'm sure that I will use it on many occasions. Just a friendly note: Don't buy the Chilton manual AND the Haynes manual. They are both written and published by the same people and the manuals are almost, if not exactly, identical. I purchased both thinking that I might find that one had information the other did not. I was wrong and just wasted the money on the second book. Get one and you'll be happy.

I've found this book to be very complete. It provides both background and step-by-step instructions. It also recommends the types of tools that are necessary to perform the maintenance. I recommend this book even if you aren't planning to do the work yourself. Knowledge is power, especially when you go to the automechanic's shop.

If you havent worked on cars in awhile and decided your gonna get back into the diy your gonna need more then just this manual, in my opinion it could explain things just a little better, and then the refer to this chapter for something on another chapter, it does help some but it could be better, if you use tutorials like what you see on u tube and the book they work good toghether.

I have purchased 4-5 Chilton's Manuals. They are a great resource and designed SPECIFICALLY to the vehicle you are looking for. Save your time trying to figure it out, or save the co$tly mistake of doing it wrong. Get the book.

Book was brand new, but it did look like it came from a warehouse somewhere. The paper looked like it had aged a little but the book did not look like it had ever been "used." No bent pages or writing in the book, binding looked brand new. Don't pay full price if you can find your book through these guys.

I ORDERED A REPAIR MANUAL FOR MY RECENTLY PURCHASED USED CAR. I WANTED A MANUAL THAT HAD EVERYTHING , BUMPER TO BUMPER, AND CHILTON'S HAD THAT. I GOT IT AT AMAZON.COM AND IT WAS ABOUT 10.00 CHEAPER THAN ANYWHERE ELSE AND IT WAS BRAND NEW JUST LIKE IT SAID . I ALSO RECIEVED IT IN HALF THE TIME THAT IT SAID IT WOULD TAKE FOR SHIPPING. I'M A RETURN CUSTOMER AT AMAZON.COM AND WHENEVER I NEED ANYTHING I ALWAYS LOOK FOR IT ON AMAZON FIRST.

This book is worthless to a Solara owner. The information does not apply, at any point,... Different body, engines, and everything else, and they don't even mention solara in most of the book! How they actually get away with including "Solara" in the description, is beyond me. Totally USELESS book, if you own a Solara. Besides that, the pictures are rediculous, (worse than trying to desipher a hundred yr old newspaper you found under the floorboards in gramma's old house)as are the descriptions(repetitious and simplistic).

I've owned a chilton or haynes book for every car I've had over the years, and never had a problem like this. Very disappointing. And pretty annoying.

Exactly what is needed for a complete brake system diagnosis, repair or overhaul. Very detailed, precise descriptions.

TON'S OF OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION NOT CONTAINED IN THE STANDARD CAR OWNERS MANUAL.

Manual was received in good condition. It was what I had expected. Shipping took several weeks.
