This book provides accurate detail of the car. The pictures, drawings and diagrams are the very useful to both novice and seasoned mechanic. Unfortunately it specifically covers the 4A class engine. The 3A class which is used in the Corolla XL (in Asia) would have been a bonus.

I've always liked Hanynes repair manuals. They don't try to stuff too many years or models in a single manual.

I found this typical of Haynes automotive manuals. Pretty much everything a shade tree mechanic needs to know in order maintain and repair the covered vehicle, including specifications, in a simple and straightforward format.

I've used this manual to change belts, oil, transmission fluid, a few too many alternators, and alternator brushes in my 91 Toyota Corolla. I have had other Haynes manuals and they are always awesome and explain everything in very fine detail.

Book shipped quickly and was in great shape- so seller gets five or six stars.

Haynes gets 2 stars. I've decided I'm tired of Haynes/Clymer/Chilton. Why? Missing torque specs for Many things, pictures are mostly not of my car (though millions if not billions were produced). Same story basically as any non-factory service manual. Got me through a timing belt change, but nothing I couldn't have figured out myself drawing from my experience and some help with a little bit of forum lurking.

I'm going to go with factory service manuals for this car and all future cars/ motorbikes. I've had enough of vague descriptions, missing pics, inapplicable diagrams, and lacking info that generally characterizes third party service manuals.

That said, it's WAY better than a Chiltons!

unfortunately it said no place in the describtion, that thid book is only for cars sold in the US. As I'm not living in the US my car has some different features (like engine) that are not described in the book. Therefore the book is not of as much use to me as I hoped.
