Like reading yesterday' menu
This book is a collection reprinted articles from various magazines from 1956 to 1988. They appear with the original b&w illustrations and photos from the magazines. Most of them are reviews and road tests. They are arranged by date, and that is the only organization. The articles themselves are just what you would expect- basic promos for the vehicles. This book is a collection reprinted articles from various magazines from 1956 to 1988. They appear with the original b&w illustrations and photos from the magazines. Most of them are reviews and road tests. They are arranged by date, and that is the only organization. The articles themselves are just what you would expect- basic promos for the vehicles. BUT THAT WAS THEN, THIS IS NOW! The great things and the bad things about Toyota Land Cruisers have been born out by time, and that is impossible to find out by going into a time warp to 1969! I would really like to see a book about Land Cruisers like the SA Design series on performance build-ups of Jeeps. At least with something useful for today's Land Cruiser owner. Or a book with some really nice color pictures of the Land Cruiser series. This book was neither.
