To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the film's original release, several
E.T. action figures have come about, but with a modern twist. Not only does he talk, saying "Elliot" and "E.T. loves you," but if this alien is paired up with another action figure from the same series, he interacts, speaking when the other figure's hand is placed on his forehead. The Extra Terrestrial here is decked out in the garb a young Drew Barrymore dressed him in for playtime. He wears a yellow dress and a detachable wig and bowler hat combo, and is accompanied by a small potted plant. The skin is leathery and motion is limited, the legs are stationary, only one elbow moves, and the head can't turn from side to side. But the neck cranes up either when pulled or when interacting evokes some of the more tender moments of the movie.
