How much can you say about a mundane item like sata cables? More than I thought. My home computers tend to last a long time, so when I finally upgraded the whole thing this year, sata was a new technology to me. I ordered all my components online, but didn't order any sata cables because I didn't know if they would be included with the drives or not. They're not, so I went to a couple big box stores and my favorite local mom and pop looking for cables, thinking there should be a wide variety of lengths and styles. Nope. One color, only available 2 feet long, and expensive.
In contrast, these 6-inch cables from PCToys are just the right length to avoid clutter with my 3-disk RAID setup. The color looks great in my case, and the connectors have a satisfying click to give you confidence everything is connected firmly. All for a very reasonable price, even considering shipping. Highly recommended. |
