The voice transformer is great fun for kids in their youngetr years. It has several different voices and you can combine the effects, to some degree to make about up to ten different voices. The instructions for voices on the back of the package was a little off, but it's not hard to figure out at all, a kid could figure it out all on his own in a manner of minutes. The mic not being attached to the rest of the toy is a nice design, but if you have a child that like to pull on stuff or twist it a lot this may not be for you. If your looking for something that will have a realish voice after it has been "transformed" this one is not for you.

I didn't expect a lot for the price but the product is worthless. All it does is screeches and squaks. It doesn't change your voice to where you can tell what you're saying. I tried adjusting the distance to the microphone, moving the speaker away, etc. It's junk.

This product didn't work. Not for one second. I called and received a refund for the defective product.

When I got the voice transformer, it came in blue instead of black as pictured. Could barely get the battery in the compartment, and when I tried it out, all that came out were little bits of what I said. I cannot recommend this product.

It actually didn't even work. All it did was warble your voice. It was suppose to have several settings and it all was the same. Really stupid toy.

First off, this product is misnamed. It is not exactly small. I'm a grown man and the body is bigger than my hand. I can't imagine a child considering this small. The feedback one gets from using it with the mic too close to the speaker is awful and I would imagine a child would do this all the time. The switches on top are not exactly descriptive of what each does so if you lose the cardboard backing saying what each does, you're out of luck and just have to guess. There is also the issue of having to hold to mic really close to your mouth for it to work, but not so close that you can hear your breathing.

I bought this for Halloween 2011. I could see where the durability of this toy would be questionable. It's a really cheap plastic toy that was made in china. Granted, the Amazon reseller isn't selling these at Dealxtreme.com prices, which is kind of sad. But it does work as described and so far, is still in good working order.

A great concept, but it doesn't work unless you literally hold the microphone piece right up to your lips (actually touching your lips). I purchased this for my son (for Halloween) to use along with his costume. He could not use the changer simply because it does not work hooked/hidden onto your clothing, the microphone piece needs to be much stronger. I would not suggest purchasing the voice changer as it simply a waste of money.

Overall, I'd say that it's pretty good. The two things though are that it's rather complicated to change the voice frequencies without looking at the box. The other is that It seems to be rather sensitive to volume level and should've had an input jack for an external microphone.
