This is the perfect gift for that someone who you always have trouble buying something for. Even if you are not a believe in Buddhism and Zen, this is a fun gift for anyone who needs a little relaxing and enjoys being creative. You can create your own little "Office Zen garden" and have your visitors play and create their own garden if you would like to. Every time I use this, I feel the tranquility washing over me, just like a true meditation.

I loved the box and tools, they look very nice, cute cranes and all, but the rocks are the plain , dull sort, not the glowing jade advertised. just to let you know....

I do not believe this is a toy... It is very calming to use, and therefore, it is a form of meditation. The Book of Meditations that it comes with are enlightening quotes, ones that will help you reach peace of mind.

The box is well built, and sturdy. It comes with two bags of sand, but one is enough to fill the box. The rocks are not jade as advertised, but they are polished, shiny, and smooth. One of my cranes fell over at first, but I just had to pull one of the legs back and it stands just fine=]. The broom that you use to smooth out the sand when first beginning, and after each use doesn't really work how it is supposed to, but I use the back side, without the bristles and it works out well. The sand is really, really soft, and white, and the box is gorgeous.

This is an excellent product. I was so excited to receive it, and now I am so glad to have it.... FOREVER!! I love my new garden. It's fun, and you feel like you have an actual garden to tend to. It's FANTABULOUS... Mine is anyway... Other customers said their box was wobbly due to uneven legs, but mine isn't. If you do not purchase this Zen Garden, I still highly recommend getting one, although, this one seems to be the best one out there.

I love this sand zen kit. It is a simple easy way to relax but honestly I bought this because I practice writing in Chinese and I go through A LOT of paper. I thought this would be a cool way to stop wasting so much paper. I get to relax while also practicing my chinese characters. Thanks!!!!

It is awesome and so soothing and calming to use. Beautiful wood and really beautifully white sand, the swan was broken but everything else was nice, also it comes with a extra bag of sand.

I bought this for my girlfriend and she loves it. It's fun to smooth out the sand and then make groves to make it look like mini rolling sand hills.It's a nice size tray of fine white sand. Comes with 3 rakes even though the pic showed only 2. It has a mini push brush to smooth out the sand. Make sure you don't knock this thing off the table or you'll have a huge mess on your hands. It's like having a mini sand box for adults at home.

Im a school counselor and the Zen garden is amazing for the students I work with! Its a good size and relaxing and fun for the students that come into my counseling office.

The purpose of a zen-garden is to find our way to our inner peace. This is a perfect start-up kit. The box includes 5-6 pebbles, 2 cranes and 3 different shovels. Playing with this "toy" garden is entertaining and educating as well. It helps me deal with stress, relaxes me and is a great group activity. Watching how others shape their garden is pretty fun, and after you developed your straight lines, everybody will adore you for them!
I would recommend this garden for those who doesn't want a toy, but a decoration for their homes. For those, who chose a stylish way of relaxing.

I'm self employed, so I needed something to pass the time at my desk while I waited on tasks to complete and this works perfectly fine! Stress reliever. I wondered if this was a cheaply made sand garden, but it is surprisingly well made and sturdy. Would recommend.

Cute, but not as displayed on this site! I wanted it with the stones display on the box.which were green stones. But it came w/stones i could have gotten from my backyard.
