I have reptiles (FL Anoles) I keep as pets. I bought this to help me catch live grasshoppers (not butterflies) to feed my Anoles. Works great and is a huge help. Has saved me well over what I paid for it if I had gone to the pet store and bought live crickets. The handle is plastic, so it's lightweight. Because of this, I know it will eventually break (the handle), but if you're careful and don't slam it down too hard, it will last a reasonable amount of time. I'm totally pleased with this item.

We bought two of these nets. One of them fell apart when we opened the packaging. It is a wire loop that sticks into a thin plastic tube for the handle. Not stuck together very well at all. I glued the ring back into the handle with hot glue and it seems to be staying together for now. They are very cheaply made, but will probably last fine for catching bugs and minnows for a year or so. I guess we got what we paid for.

This net is a good buy for what you pay. However,if you want a good quality, sturdy net, you may want to look elsewhere.

I loved the butterfly net, it was a Christmas present for a grandchild. The only negative is that the shipping and handling cost more than the net, however, it was worth it, since neither were very expensive.

I bought this butterfly net as an adjunct to my "dog catcher" costume for Halloween as my son was a dog. The handle is too short for adults, but will be fitting for my son when he is old enough to catch butterflies. It is kind of a delicate net as it is made for butterflies.

The handle is 16-inch long. Perfect for kids. I am using this net to catch grasshoppers to feed my little chickens.

We bought this after having bought several of them at out local discount store they seemed great for a dollar but after going through 1 of them every week we turned to this one and we were not dissapointed. Shipping was super fast and it was packaged perfectly.

My 4 year old and 6 year old both had really fun with this net They would use it for at least ten min of their daily summer play and it has yet to break. The net part of it remained intact and the handle withhold even though it is made of plastic.Even though they use it to catch other items like barbies, toys, etc.

But it does do its job of catching butterflies also.

The only thing i wish for is a little diversity. This particular brand of net only comes in green and what my girls found so alluring about the cheap ones were the pretty colors. However i much rather have something that lasts a little longer.

My 3 children love the butterfly nets. They are having lots of fun with them.

I sent two of these to my toddler grandsons so they could play a game they like where they fish floating balls out of their kiddie pool with a net. It did cost about the same to ship them as to buy them, but actually as shipping goes - I could not ship them myself for that price.

Anyway, the nets arrived at their destination the same week that I ordered them.

The boys love them.

I called to find out what happened and was told by the shipper it was the problem of the manufacturer and was told by the manufacturer it was a problem with the shipper. I gave up but do wonder what happened.
