Jar Of Glow-In-The-Dark Stars

My husband and I just finished putting up these stars in our son's room today. We bought some extra sticky tack to use since the adhesive they give you is not enough for all the stars. Everything turned out great and our son had a blast putting up the stars in his room.

We are very happy with the glow of the stars when we turned out the lights. We left his light on for a while to get them "charged" and then turned out the lights before he went to bed. His whole room was glowing! I think we all enjoyed looking at them tonight!

Of course the glow didn't last forever, but just long enough for him to fall asleep.

We are very pleased with these stars and are looking to buy another batch to finish up his room.

You get a lot of stars. If you tried to put them on the ceiling of a typical child's room, then you could probably cover the whole ceiling. The downside is that the adhesive that they give you works poorly and the stars don't glow very brightly. We used up all of the adhesive to get just a few stars to stick.

These stars are pretty weak. They are very large so they are very noticeable during the day and when you turn out the lights they aren't very bright (and that's with a chandelier charge from the middle of the room!). I'd say they glow for all of 15 minutes. :P

I found that the adhesive worked well, but there wasn't enough of it. I ran out and had to use some tacky stuff from my daughter's wall mount Aquadoodle. Both of my kids got the stars in their stockings, but I still haven't put them up in my son's room, because I was disappointed. I'm surprised they have such a decent rating.

I was actually looking for a specific size of glow-in-the-dark star for an art project, but couldn't find any specific size descriptions listed with the product details. For anyone who wants to know: there are ten 9cm stars and one hundred & twenty five 4cm stars.

there are two star sizes in this jar. the vast majority are the smaller ones (about an inch tall) and about a dozen of them are the large stars (like you see outside the jar in the main photo. they come with enough double sided tape for all of them (works with my textured ceiling)

i would highly recommend these stars.

some reviews i read said there was not enough of the double stick stickers to attach them with....and that is NOT TRUE...there is PLENTY of the sticky stuff...i even cut up some of the excess pieces to hang extra stars that we had up on the ceiling.

there is MORE than enough for one bedroom ceiling!!!!!!

they are perfect size stars for a bedroom, 3 5/8" big stars and 1 5/8" smaller stars.

they glow for about 5 or 10 minutes after you turn the lights off, just like any other glow in the dark item.

they are a good quality thick plastic that is about 1/8" thick.

I think the starts are fine. They glow well however there aren't enough foam stickers to hang them all. With some creativity and scissors you can cut the portion that was meant to be discarded and use it to hang the remainder of the stars. The packaging is excessive and should be recycled or reused.

My kids have always had stars on the ceiling in thier nursey. They love the ease of installing. Always a good value. No problem with installation, come with easy adhesive.

I bought these to decorate the nursery in a space theme in that room. I picked these out because I read a review that the glow they produce fades away in about 15 min, which is prefect for our needs (We didn't want the ceiling to be too distracting when our little one is trying to sleep). The only complaint I have is that the adhesive tape that comes with them is far too weak. If you are going to buy these, do yourself a favor and grab some double sided foam tape as well.

Good product which is why I rated it a four. I have no complaints about the product itself however the price is not too convenient I would recommend visiting wal-Mart or any of those stores that sell everything because you will probably save a couple bucks. If you don't mind the price then I definitely recommend these because they glow very brightly and they last a while which I really like. Most of the stars are small there isn't much of a variety of siZes just a bunch of small ones and like 8 or 9 big ones.
