When I bought this toy, I was skeptical. It sucks pretty darn well, for what I paid, I did not expect much. I actually use it to get the bugs out of the corners of the carpet and baseboards while the kids use it to catch ants and spiders outside. There are several attachments with different sizes. I am not sure about the durability because I have only had it a month or so. The kids love this and I do not have to use tissues to pick up dried up bugs :)

This product is a very horrible attempt at a "bug vacuum" I buy crickets in bulk to feed my pets and when they die I takes a long time to pick each one up so I purchased this vacuum. This "toy" has a hard time even on high setting sucking up a 1/4 in dead cricket. So if you want a pile of plastic to look at it is a great buy but if you plan to use it save your money!

We've given this to a couple of friends for birthdays, and we finally have received one of our own! My children, 4yo and 6yo, have had so much fun with this. So far, everything has been dead that they've sucked up, since it's Winter. I'm sure bugs will be running/flying for their lives once it does warm up. We have been able to use the magnifying glass to look at all the parts of the dead bugs caught. The children have also used this to look at rocks under the magnifying glass, to look at the facets and shapes. I would definitely get this for another friend.

Twin 4 yr olds LOVED them this Christmas. They got all sorts of cool toys from the family, but these stole the show. I heard "we love you Uncle Jake" about ten times!
The suction is not great, and I was unable to suck anything with em, but somehow the kids kept bringing in all sorts of creepy bugs from the back yard. Good bargain even if it does not "suck" all that well. They come with a great viewing container as well which has a mag glass top. Super cool.

It is a fun toy and also useful in catching flies.
It has a low/high power setting which is useless because the low-setting is too low to create effective suction.

Modifying it to use a 7.2v rechargeable battery pack does wonders, by the way, for those of you hackers.

For $10 it's worth the price. The motor, even on the 'high' setting, is barely sufficient to create a vacuum strong enough to suck bugs up.

The fitting is very loose, which allows vacuum to escape. I took all the orange parts apart and siliconed them back together to seal it up better. This will also prevent the nose from falling off.

I bought this hoping the reviews were wrong. They were not. This is worthless. I bought it to pick up crickets for our bearded dragon. with brand new batteries it couldn't pick a medium size cricket up. don't waste your money. I ended up buying the Summit "Backyard Safari Bug Vacuum With Lazer Light" and we love it. plenty strong to pick up a dozen crickets in a second without harming them.

Looking for a way to pick up stink bugs, not as a child's toy. Have the other long wand with 9v battery, but it has barely enough suction to pick up a bug.

This was inexpensive, thought I'd give it a try.

It worked for only 15 seconds, with little suction. Tried may times to get it working again.

Seemed cheap and poorly fitting. Avoid.

Yes, it could have a stronger vacuum but it is a handheld toy.....expectations have to be realistic. It is fun anyways.

I haven't sent this back yet, but I will. You pay for what you get. First time I was not happy with a Amazon product.
