Not sure if this item has any educational value, but it feels really neat and is large and soft. The one I received is neon pink. It has a loop so you can attach a cord if you like.

I bought this ball for my 4 year old son who had another ball that was similar to this one from somewhere else and it had popped so we got him this one. He LOVES it! He takes it everywhere, you can throw it...stretch it or whatever and it is holding up great. This ball also has a light inside that changes colors when you bounce it so my son has enjoyed playing catch with it at night too. I would for sure recommend this product.
