This wonderful gift set contains 100 assorted small, medium & large stars and paper planets and adhesive tapes. Expose the glow shapes to a light source for a minute. Turn of the light and watch them glow! Makes a great gift for the young or the young at heart. All the glow shapes contain a special phosphorescent, non-toxic pigment that is mixed into the product during production allowing them to be recharged again and again! The Solar System consists of a centre star, the Sun and the nine planets that orbit it, one of these being the Earth. All of these planets are held in place by the massive force of gravity of the Sun and all orbit the Sun in circular paths in the same direction. There are also smaller objects that orbit the Sun in the same way such as asteroids, comets, moons, meteoroids and even dust. All of these objects and their orbit paths from our Solar System, which as a whole orbits the centre of our galaxy. Package size is 11" x 8 1/4".

This box comes with the planets and the stars, which are REALLY cool. However, it is missing the sun, (I had to use one of the largest stars as a substitute), the stickers that have to be placed on the back are difficult to work with, and they don't stick worth a hoot. Everything I put up fell off within a couple of hours, and no matter how many stickers I put on the back, they wouldn't stay. I ended up having to use duct tape. It's still really cool to look at when the lights go out, but I would NOT recommend this product to anyone.
On a side note, I bought this from 'Friendly Company' and they were terrific. Customer service was outstanding. This purchase in no way reflects on them as a company, and I would definately purchase from them again.
Added note - 03-06-09 - ended up using a hot glue gun. that worked PERFECTLY, but MAN was it time-consuming.

While this came in great condition, it does not stay on the ceiling very well. Product comes loose and drops to the floor. For the price I don't think it was worth the cost.
Needs to come up with a better way to put them up and keep them there.

Missing the sun but the product is still fun for a small child. Not too accurate from an educational perspective but the glow in the dark---that's really why we got it! A little trouble adhereing to our walls but overall, not bad for the money.

My boy's love these planets. At ages 2 and 4... they can name the planets as we point to them. It's a lot of fun.

Planets and Stars
Our son has been very happy with his glow in the dark planets and stars. Thank you for coming thru for us on behalf of Santa. We had been dropped in the dirt by another provider.
