My baby loves these!, December 14, 2008

Well, she used to love the foot, but the dog loved it even more and I wouldn't expect any teething toy to stand up to him. :) They do feel about like vinyl dog toys. Anyway, my baby loves the hand as it's easy to hold and the fingers must feel fun in her mouth. It's one of her faves.

questionable safety - they are made of soft vinyl !!!, March 14, 2010
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars

My twins like both, though the hand is easier to hold and get into the mouth of a 5 m/o baby. These toys have a very pleasant scent and bright colors. I would rather buy two hands if there was a choice.
Update !!!!
I did not look at the package at first and now I see that they are made of soft vinyl and so are of questionable safety.
The health risk in soft vinyl lies in a substance called di- isononyl phthalate (DINP) that makes soft vinyl soft. Laboratory tests on animals indicate that intense DINP exposure can cause damage to the kidneys and liver. These risks apply to young babies weighing less than 8 kilograms (17-18 pounds) and who might have "high oral contact" (three hours or more a day) with soft vinyl products.

Taking them out of the cribs ASAP, even if the concerns are overblown, better be safe than sorry. On another teether from the same manufacturer -
TEETHER BALL by ToysmithI see the writing: "Phthalate free", so they must be aware of the concern.

My 8 month old son does not care for this theeter! He likes the hand better than the foot but he plays with it for less than 5 minutes and get something else.
