Well, she used to love the foot, but the dog loved it even more and I wouldn't expect any teething toy to stand up to him. :) They do feel about like vinyl dog toys. Anyway, my baby loves the hand as it's easy to hold and the fingers must feel fun in her mouth. It's one of her faves.

My twins like both, though the hand is easier to hold and get into the mouth of a 5 m/o baby. These toys have a very pleasant scent and bright colors. I would rather buy two hands if there was a choice.
Update !!!! I did not look at the package at first and now I see that they are made of soft vinyl and so are of questionable safety. The health risk in soft vinyl lies in a substance called di- isononyl phthalate (DINP) that makes soft vinyl soft. Laboratory tests on animals indicate that intense DINP exposure can cause damage to the kidneys and liver. These risks apply to young babies weighing less than 8 kilograms (17-18 pounds) and who might have "high oral contact" (three hours or more a day) with soft vinyl products. You can read about the controversy surrounding vinyl here: [...] Taking them out of the cribs ASAP, even if the concerns are overblown, better be safe than sorry. On another teether from the same manufacturer -TEETHER BALL by ToysmithI see the writing: "Phthalate free", so they must be aware of the concern.

My 8 month old son does not care for this theeter! He likes the hand better than the foot but he plays with it for less than 5 minutes and get something else.

These are okay for teething. They are by no means anything exciting or fun that my son can't live without.

my 4.5 month old son likes the hand...not the foot. these have a really "plasticy" smell when you first get them but it does go away. he likes this teether the most and we're hoping it continues to satiate him! although his front teeth are supposed to come in first he mostly wants something to chew on for his rear gums...so we thought this was ideal.

My 7-month old's friend had these and my son consistently wanted to chew on them so we bought some for him. They are high quality, small, easy to sanitize, and babies love them. Well worth the money.

We love these teethers. They are soft to the touch, yet not so smooth that they slip out of baby's slippery hands. They are lightweight, super easy to clean, and our baby loves them both (though currently showing a preference for the hand!). I plan to buy more of these for baby shower presents. They may be simple in design, but are simply fantastic!
