This is a modern knockoff of the original Whee-lo. Yep, it's cheap and cheaply made. But, yep, it's still as much fun as the original was. Don't expect it to compete with a video game, just enjoy it for what it is--a bit of mindless fun from the past.

I sent this toy to my 10-year-old son at summer camp. He said that it was fun, but unfortunately it "broke" soon after arrival. The metal balls on either side of the wheel got pushed in and rendered the toy unusable. When he got home I tried to fix it, but again the metal balls would not stay in their proper position.

I have had a version of this toy a few times in my life. Now my 6 year-old nephew has one, and he gets as much enjoyment out of it as I did.

It's not a toy that you can play with for hours, but it's challenging at first and is just fun to do. I think everyone should play with one at least once. For adults, it's a coffee table toy, for kids, it's a stocking stuffer type toy.
