Words not enough to describe how phenomenon and talented R.Kelly is with his music. He gives you 200% when other artists give you less than a 70 or 80%. NO ONE CAN BEAT HIM IN THE R&B GAME. And with THE CLASSIC TP-2.COM ALBUM he establishes himself again as THE POWER OF R&B/SOUL/GOSPEL IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY. I don`t have to tell you my favorites songs because EVERY ONE ARE WONDERFULS MASTERPIECES. BUY IT TWO COPIES OF THIS AR ONE EXPLICIT and THE OTHER CLEAN, THEY ARE BOTH AWESOME.

And I'll say it again:
I miss the days where R.Kelly was just that: R. This was probably his last really solid album. In fact, R.Kelly ('95) wasn't one of those. It had some great tunes, maybe 3-4, and then the rest was average filler. I hated it on a whole. My mother owns the album and it's not all that! Anyway, TP-2, Strip For You, R&B Thug, The Greatest Sex and I Don't Mean It start the CD off stupendously. My favorites from there are Strip For You, The Greatest Sex (my favorite of the 5, mentions zodiac sign, sexily crooning) and I Don't Mean it, a song about having regrets about doing your lover wrong, and wanting to change it, apologize 1,000x, and getting past it. TP-2 - a nice, laid-back mid-tempo intro that will get you in the mood to f*** somebody special...or just hot for the moment, lol! xxxxxxxx Strip For You - another sexy, chill mid-tempo about stripping before sex. Leave it to Kells to croon his way through a song such as this. A great song. xxxxxxxxx R&B Thug - nice beat and the vibe; insane. Those two things save it from being a bad song. Lyrics are good, kinda slutty but I like it. xxxxxxxx I Don't Mean It - real R&B. I miss you, Kells. Stop rap-singing, and get back to the basics, I BEG YOU! I'd give you ANYTHING for you to do so...xxxxxxxx 1/2 The Greatest Sex - Really smooth, with nice lyrics. The beat is pretty nice too. I LOVE this CD. It's great! xxxxxxxxx Just Like That - The Ho's were a bit much, but I understand where he's coming from mostly (haven't experienced a real relationship, but have seriously loved twice so...) xxxxxxxxxx Like A Real Freak - Decent, not his best. The next song is WAY better. xxxxxxx Fiesta - THE ultimate party anthem. I'm so glad that he wrote this song. I'm also happy Jay-Z was in the remix. xxxxxxxxxxx Don't You Say No - Pretty good vibe. Nice bass, different from the last song, but so similar to the others. Nice, but there should be more, I suppose. xxxxxxxx The Real R.Kelly - Uh...Weird, I guess. xxx One Me - Much better than the proceeding interlude. xxxxxxx 1/2 I Wish - Great insight to R.Kelly's life. I respect him for letting it all out, so we could hear it. The guitar helps the laid-back vibe to it. Mid-tempo with meaning at its finest. xxxxxxxx 1/2 A Woman's Threat - A strong "ballad(?)" about a woman who will leave you if you do wrong. Best believe. xxxxxxxxx I Decided - Not much to say, but this track is killer! xxxxxxxxxx I Mean (I Don't Mean It) Solid remix. It is a remix, right? Nice production. xxxxxxxx I Wish - Remix (To The Homies That We Lost) Pleasant, and assisted by a complete orchestra. xxxxxxxxx All I Really Want - Chill as all get out, but not very distinctive. One of the very weakest tracks here. xxxxxxx Feelin' On Yo Booty - solid mid-tempo. Showcases R.Kelly's frequent freaky ways. xxxxxxxx The Storm Is Over - a gospel-tinged mid-tempo that's not only true, but inspirational and relate-able. One of the better songs here. My old friend, Derrick's mother, Paulie, adored this one. Probably was her favorite by him. Well, might be tied with I Believe I Can Fly. ^_^ xxxxxxxxx 1/2 Overall, this album is a lusty, even slutty view into his life, his soul and heart. I am down for lust 5 days of the weak, and if you're occasionally slutty, I can deal. However, back on the album, it's a true R&B adventure that I'm glad I had the chance to experience tonight, and beforehand. R. Kelly's 2000 album was one of his most successful and widely influential albums, opening the star to a whole new fanbase, mostly thanks to the excellent hit singles and their following remixes. Following the epic double album R. from 1998, he returned two years later with another very ambitious album. This album is musically as soulful as any R. Kelly project, and the pervading theme through the whole album is sex. The majority of the songs are bedroom jams or vocal conversations with women, his seductive style being the main vibe. But he's at his best when he lets his spiritual side show, and the gospel-tinged tracks are the best on the album. There are five or six songs on here that are among the very best of R. Kelly's career. These songs are uplifting, inspiring, and motivational, otherwise clever and the type of song that exhibits his immense talent. He really is one of the finest talents in R&B, and there are more than a few instances where he flashes his amazing potential. However, between the best tracks, there is a steady supply of definite filler. The album is a lengthy 19 tracks long, and it would be a much superior album if it were trimmed to about 12 (like its predecessor, 12 Play). The first half of the album contains way too many forgettable and predictable tracks, while the second half is stacked with great material. The production is the type of big-budget music you'd expect on an R. Kelly album. This album contains some of the very finest material of R. Kelly's great career, but be ready to sit through some substantial filler to get to it.
The introductory title track opens the album, a short and upbeat opener. "Strip For You" is a forgettable sex song, some early skip material before the very good "R&B Thug." This song is well produced, and R. Kelly sings in a fast, staccatoed style that works nicely. I don't like "The Greatest Sex," a fairly redundant and unmemorable song. "I Don't Mean It" and "Just Like That" are much better; while they're not among the album's best songs, they're solid and enjoyable cuts. "Like a Real Freak" and "Fiesta" are both Latin-influenced club songs, both fall under skip material for me, I wish the Jay-Z collaborated "Fiesta (Remix)" were included on the tracklist instead. "Don't You Say No" emits some nice musical vibes, and "One Me" is a pretty good song too. The album gets great at about this point. The beautiful "I Wish," arguably the finest song of his storied career, is a sad yet uplifting song to a lost friend, speaking of life since their passing. "A Woman's Threat," however, is among the worst songs on this album, six banal and repetitive minutes, and his verses sound like a shopping list. "I Decided" is among my favorites, with a great hook and good performance, "I Mean (I Don't Mean It)" is a little upbeat and funky. I think my favorite song here might be the touching remix to "I Wish," titled "I Wish (To the Homies That We Lost)." R. Kelly does not make remixes like most artists, and his remixes are entirely new compositions of songs, with the only similarities being the similar subject matter. "To the Homies That We Lost" is equally as effective as the original "I Wish," a more personal narrative to his lost friend. The production is beautiful, and this song is excellent. The pretty good "All I Want" comes next, followed by the wonderful "Feelin' on Yo Booty." This infamous song showcases R. Kelly at his seductive best, being humorous and clever despite maybe crossing the line a little here and there. The album closes with another of the finest songs in his discography, the motivational "The Storm Is Over," a well-written gospel-tinged track, complete with a dramatic key change at the end. When this album is good, it's great, but at its worst, it's redundant and forgettable. One can't deny that this contains some of the very best songs R. Kelly has to offer, and for that fact alone this is an album I recommend. R. Kelly is one of the finest talents in R&B, and much of this album is a great example of this. More economical buyers might just want to buy the half-dozen or so best songs, but overall this is a worthy purchase to make.
