Great Gift!, June 12, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: TracFone Prepaid Airtime Card, 30 Minutes for Tracfone Phones (Wireless Phone Accessory)
The tracfone prepaid airtime cards make the best gift. We really wanted to give my parents a cell phone; they are retired and on the road a lot in their motorhome. We wanted to be able to contact them. But, we did not want to stick them with a monthly fee on their fixed income. So the trackphone with these prepaid airtime cards was perfect. We can give them airtime in advance. And it makes it easy to give a gift they can use anytime.

Rollover minutes -vs- expiring cards, November 6, 2001
This review is from: TracFone Prepaid Airtime Card, 30 Minutes for Tracfone Phones (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I have a tracfone, and absolutely love it. The way it works is this: you have to buy a card every couple of months to keep the phone active, but the minutes roll over as long as you don't let it lapse. Also, the phone tells you each time you turn it on how many minutes are left and when your next card is due. For someone who uses their phone for emergencies and occasional use, this is ideal, I have NO complaints.

Best Prepaid Plan on the Market Today, November 28, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: TracFone Prepaid Airtime Card, 30 Minutes for Tracfone Phones (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I bought my Tracfone in August because we were going on a wilderness vacation. I wanted the comfort of being in touch with my daughter while I was away, but didn't want to go to a lot of expense, didn't want to worry about surprise charges, and definitely didn't want a contract. The Tracfone was cheap, no activation fee, no hidden charges, and the 30 minute card suited my purpose perfectly. I called my daughter once, and she called me twice. I had 8 minutes left when I got home, and I bought another 30 minute card at a local store. That card extended my time till after Christmas. I called my daughter while we were on the road Thanksgiving Day. This is a PERFECT phonecard arrangement for anyone who really wants a cell phone for limited use. The minute cost might sound high, but remember that this is the ONLY cost, and it's not use-it-or-lose-it. I love the fact that I don't have to try to use the minutes before they expire.
