4.0 out of 5 stars Electrolyte Supplement Rated
Taking these tablets twice a day has helped to eliminate my husband's leg cramps. He had a serious problem waking up during the night in severe pain. He has now controlled these cramps with the use of the Trace Minerals supplement.

I used these during a nine week hot yoga training where I was sweating profusely for ~4 hours a day. I took them for the first few weeks (felt fine) and then stopped taking them (still felt fine). So I'm not sure they helped but its quite possible my diet contained sufficient electrolyte replenishment. That being said, they certainly didn't hurt.

As a long distance cyclist, I ride 70 - 100+ miles every Saturday with other rides during the week. The temperatures here in north Texas often make cramping a real problem. A friend told me about this product. For a hot, 100 mile ride, I take 6 pills before the ride, then at least 3 more during the ride. In the evening, if cramping or other heat related symptom (headache, dizzyness) start to come on, I take 2 - 3 more with plenty of water. My son is a doctor and there is another doctor in our club. They have both examined the contents label and have used the product themselves. Both have given it their endorsement. The doctor from our bike club first tried this product on a ride where he was cramping up. I shared some of my extra pills with him. Shortly afterward he was able to resume riding without the cramps.

This is a terrific product that I wouldn't be without.

I've been looking for a product like this for years. Something that can be taken with water to help replenish what is lost during exercise. Though there's a lot of drinks available, I can't take carbs during exercise because it causes cramping. I take these pills before my workout and sip water when needed. Since taking it, I no longer feel dead or dizzy after my long w/o sessions. I used to work as a nutritionist and have a lot of education in the dietary field and have to say that the ingredients are extremely well though-out (unlike some of the more popular and unbalanced supps out there). NOTE; the dosing is high so don't feel that you need to take a whole dose of 6 pills unless you've been sweating heavily, for quite a while.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works Well--But Loose the Iron, July 22, 2011

I didn't read the fine print about all the ingredients and only just noticed that iron is one of the minerals. My understanding is that men don't need additional iron, in fact, one of the benefits of donating whole blood for men is the loss of iron, a pro-oxidant. I still find these pills to be very helpful for me as I work outside. I typically suffer from heat stress even with precautions, but this has made my life noticeably easier. Make a formula without the iron and I'll give it five stars.
