Worth picking up,

I was quite impressed with this cd. Theres a lot of talent on here. My personal favorite is Violent Generation by Brutality. It's easily the best instrumental i've ever heard. It's a shame they didnt make a soundtrack for Traces of Death II which in my opinion had better death metal. But in any case, this is worth buying. Get the movies too!!!

The only movie soundtrack that tops this one is the _Gummo_ soundtrack. This has tracks by three of my favorite bands: Repulsion, Mortician, and Pungent Stench. This is the only Repulsion song that you're going to find that is still in print. That alone makes this a required purchase.

Best Soundtrack Ever,

As a hardcore death metal fan (or at least I thought) I saw the tracklist here and didn't see too many names I recognized (of course I recognized Repulsion and Gorefest and Dismember and such) so I was a little wary that I would be getting crappy death metal. But I bought it anyway because I was fascinated by the films (I've never seen them but the concept is very interesting to me) and it was great. Mortician's title track is actually very very good for their standards, and they are kind of an embarrassment to death metal sometimes. Everything else is great. Kataklysm's song changed my mind about them totally because it was great and I saw them live about a year earlier from getting the CD and they sucked. Oh well. Highly recommmended.
