About the Author
Stephen Comee graduated from Bates College (U.S.), and furthered his education at Oxford University (U.K.). After traveling to Japan in 1974, he studied Noh drama and was the first non-Japanese to be admitted to the ranks of professional Noh actors. Since 1987, he has worked as special consultant to the Japan Foundation and also served as official translator to H.I.H. Prince Takamado.
