About the Author

The author of over 250 published magazine and encyclopedia articles, Wilmington, NC, resident David A. Norris has written extensively for Moorshead Magazines' History Magazine, Family Chronicle,and Internet Genealogy. The 2009 release of History Magazine s best-selling Life During the Civil War was written entirely by Norris and his articles have appeared in American Heritage,, America s Civil War, Civil War Times, American History, the North Carolina Historical Review, True West and Mental Floss. His first book, Potter s Raid:The Union Cavalry s Boldest Expedition in Eastern North Carolina, was published by Dram Tree Books. In addition, David has contributed articles to the Encyclopedia of the American Civil War, the Encyclopedia of North Carolina History and the upcoming Mississippi Encyclopedia.
