Dusty Jarvis had big plans for his senior year.
He was going to bring respectability back to Springfield football and
then take a run at a state sprint championship in track and field.
Jarvis - an all-league running back who led the Midwestern League with 544 rushing yards and five touchdowns as a junior - was on his way to the first goal when he took a hard hit on his ankle while heading out of bounds in a victory over Churchill on Oct. 17.
