I received the first order and it had some problems. When I informed Amazon, they sent me a new kit. I love it. It works perfectly. It is a good kit if one wants to monitor his/her health, especially diabetes. It gives you results in less than ten seconds.

I am new to this whole process of watching my blood sugar. It took quite a while to get me up and running with this kit as the instructions seemed confusing, and the lancer instructions were in a separate bag.
Now that I have figured it out now, it is easy as I just cock the lancer and get some blood to test. Takes all of 30 seconds.
Good product overall, I just wish the instructions were more clear.

I have been using the TrueTrack meter for almost a month. I kept wondering why my home results were so different than those of my doctor. So, we double tested in the office. This meter was anywhere from 125 to 200 mg/dl off! And that was the range of deviation from the real reading with the same blood sample tested three times within two minutes. The bad results resulted in Somogyi rebounds.

Also, I constantly received errors with the monitor, and their customer service was useless.

The device also shuts off quickly; so if you have to re-stick, you're going to have to restart the device. I even had it shut down while the test strip was sucking up the blood, which they are slow to do.

Overall, I would give this negative five stars if I could.

Get any other meter but the true Track if you can help it. The True Track is the cheapest, and it is probably OK for someone who does not need consistently accurate results, but if you are pregnant or need to have tight blood glucose control you should get soemthing better. I work with pregnant women and some of them had insurance that would nnot cover any other meter exceopt True Track. We often compared them to other meters and to the meter we have in the clinic. the True Track meters usually (but not always) read 10-20% higher than the other meters, and occasionally read 30-40% higher. Occasionally they agreed with the other meters, but not nearly often enough!

I purchased this in order to test my cat's sugar levels. He was diagnosed with Diabetes and started researching. YouTube is where I found this item being used and recommended. So I went here and purchased it. Originally told it was NOT necessary to test my cat (by a Vet) but I had already purchased the item. If you or a family member have Diabetes, I strongly recommend getting this item. The digital readout, digital record is priceless!! Since testing (and keeping a half way decent log) my Vet could see what was happening and helped me avoid serious insulin overdosing. And yes, if you aren't testing you're asking for problems. Please please please buy this, USE it, and kep a log. Diabetes is not a condition to take lightly.... It affects your whole body. If you or your pet have diabetes, take time to understand the disease fully.
