Trackstick worked pretty well in Europe with our rental car, albeit messing with the software settings a little. It's not as difficult as it first looks, as with most new programs. The first time I used Trackstick the red map routes it created were a little jumpy, but I quickly learned that it was my fault for not giving it time to connect to the satellites. Just set it outside facing the sky for a minute or so until the light turns green and after that you're pretty much good to go anywhere. Just bought a new one after losing my other. It's definitely a good way to show off your vacation to people. I just love seeing all the squiggly lines going throughout the maps.

I also purchased the Super for its battery life, and must agree with the recommendation for rechargeables, which is mostly a common sense thing if you plan on using this a lot.

Also one of the nicest manuals I've seen for a product like this or any other. Quite graphical and easy to navigate.

IF this is one of your concerns, you should seriously look into purchasing a Trackstick auto tracking device. Collect data, and download it to the free Tracksitck Manager Windows based PC software and Google Earth. You will then be empowered to learn if there are problems, and you can make the necessary decisions to correct them.

Ok, so it's a pretty basic looking design but I'll bet for a good reason. I was able to hide it on a company vehicle last week and caught my driver spending 2 hours at his house each day around lunch time. No, I don't plan on firing him but he now knows that I am aware of what he is up to each day. For less than two hundred bucks, I was able to save the company a bunch of money from wasted time.

I will be asking the boss to buy six more of these for all of our trucks.

I wasn't sure about this when I first started looking around for GPS loggers. It had mixed reviews around the web but eventually I settled on the Trackstick Pro because it seemed the most promising for what I needed it for: to get an idea of a few delivery routes for my restaurant.

Well, it did just that, and flawlessly! I couldn't be more pleased. Granted, the installation is really just that; installation. It takes some handiwork and a few minutes of your time. But it's not so bad if you follow the helpful instructions, complete with photos, provided for this exact model in the Trackstick manual.

But once you're up and running, believe me you'll get the results you're looking for. I can basically see months of collected route data and the exact vehicles that are going too slow or straying off their course. In the long run, Trackstick has definitely saved my business some unneeded expenses.

I have purchased two TrackStick Pro devices and both failed within a few days. I have repeatedly emailed and attempted to call TrackStick for service - they do not answer their phone nor emails.

On one device, the USB interface apparently failed. It appears to powerup and the GPS appears to lock on, but it is impossible to get data out. On the other, the GPS module failed. The device connects to a computer and appears to work, but no GPS data is ever received.

Before they failed, the devices worked very well, which is why I bought a second one after the first one failed (and I couldn't reach TrackStick for service). But no more...

Do not buy this product.

I bought a trackstick pro and after 6 months of normal use, it stopped working. I've been in contact with the folks at Trackstick for about a month as they kept trying to convince me that I was doing something wrong. Now that they'll admit something is wrong with the unit, they say "take it back to where you bought it." I said "how about I send it to you and pay shipping both ways". They said "No you didn't buy it from us". I would think that although there is a physical store I purchased it from, that since they manufacture the item, that I did indeed buy it from them. When my Acer monitor broke they didn't send me to best buy, they gave me an RMA and fixed the flaw. DON'T BUY TRACKSTICK PRODUCTS, TRACKSTICK COMPANY WON'T STAND BEHIND THEM!
