This review is from: BCA Tracker DTS Avalanche Beacon (Misc.)
I snowmobile. Not usually in the back country, but I love this sport and want to be able to go out and play with the max amount of saftey.
I researched this product for a very long time and really thought hard about the decision before parting with this much money. I know it's a life saving device, but I'm cheap. I read every review at beaconreviews dot com, and I was convinved I needed a 3 antenna beacon. I narrowed it down to the pieps DPS. Then I read a bunch of reviews at other sites that said the pieps had spike trouble. Confused, and just wanting to get on my sled and ride with the other boys, I reverted to the one I believe to be the easiest to use, and the highest rated 2 antenna beacon out there. I expect to find a better beacon some day, and this will make a perfect backup. There is supposed to be a 3 antenna version of this, but it's already full season late. Stay Safe |
