A Chicagoan by birth, Ralph Friedman first saw Oregon at the age of seventeen after hitchhiking and riding boxcars across the country. He has written on every state and continent except Antarctica - but Oregon is his major interest.

I like the book very much. I thought when I ordered it that I was getting the book I wanted with a chapter about the Zeiszlers who died in 1954 in Polk Co. Oregon but I must have ordered the wrong book. I have since ordered the correct book and am expecting it anytime.I enjoy this book, the price was good and the service was fine so no complaint. The book I wanted was by the same author so I must have erred.
