This book is an amazing read if you are a subway fan.

Ever wonder why the north bound N train switched between 34th and 42nd street, to get from the express track to the local track? (Back when the N went to Astoria and the Q terminated at 57th st).

Well these track maps show why. There is no other switch till 57th st which is too busy switching Q's as a terminal.

You can answer all sorts of subway questions, just by seeing if the tracks and switches allow the trains to move the way you suspected.

Ever wondered at where some of the tracks go? This book will answer in detail every question you might have about the NYC Subway system. Latest editions have Penn Station and Grand Central Terminal tracks now!
