Another Morning Sun railroad book with gorgeous well-reproduced color photos. The topic is the New York Central System in its later years under Alfred Perlman prior to merger. Most of the pictures are east of Buffalo, NY. The book talks about the creative camera of William J. Brennan whose pictures are used. The only noticeable creativity for me was some excellent night photographs. Otherwise many views of passenger trains which emphasize the motive power rather than the locales or surroundings. My personal taste in railroad photos can be found in the superb 17-volume series from this publisher on Pennsylvania Railroad Facilities. There the locales are emphasized though most contain trains as well. A matter of taste. If close-ups of passenger trains is what interests you this is an excellent choice. If you like locales track work and railroad structures get any railroad facility books from this publisher
