Format: Hardcover
Despite the limitations of 50's film technology, Jack Fravert has left us with a rich legacy of colour photos of the L&N on its home ground. Superb shots of passenger trains, and lots of loco depot and works action with both steam and diesel. It's a pity he wasn't able to catch a little more action of the local passenger trains and longer-distance limited's. Nonetheless, his dedication to capturing the history of the railroad would, I am sure, have please his father - Fravert Snr., who worked for the L&N - as well as earning the appreciation of those of us who weren't around then.
