I bought this machete to replace an old Ontario that I used to use to trim palms around the house. The looks are awesome, its bright stainless silver blade shimmers in light and I like the wood handle. The sheath is also nicely constructed and perfectly functional. Upon using it though, I quickly realized that it does a crummy job trimming anything despite the fact that it arrived very sharp. The blade is thick for a machete and has no flex. Its more like a giant knife than a machete. If you whack it hard on the broad side of the blade Im sure it would bend sharply and have to be hammered out. If you are looking for a functional machete for trimming and cutting I would invest in a proven model. However if you are looking for a cool looking machete to add to your personal collection I would definitely recommend it just for its looks alone.
