Great product for GERD folks.,

As I have GERD, that has led, most unfortunately, to interstitial lung disease, I needed to raise the head of my bed a full six inches. I had been using 3 6-inch square blocks of 1 1/2-inch thick board, giving me about 4 1/2 " rise. Installed these and they work perfect. Very sturdy, has a small "well" to keep the bed frame wheels locked in place. I am very pleased and plan to take two of them with me to France for an extended trip to use with the hotel bed. Delivery time was very short also.Update: June 2010 After using these risers for about a year and taking them on several trips, I can whole-heartedly endorce my 5 star rating. They work great; they are relatively light while providing great support. At 250 pounds, I am heavier than many, but the risers have not broken down at all. I stuff socks or something else inside one of them when I pack two of them. They have been to France, Mexico, Guadeloupe, a couple of National Parks, and under three different beds in my home. The "indent" in the top keeps bed legs that have wheels on them from moving around. Great product.

Bed riser for a Queen (bed that is!),

Pros:The base is 6 9/16 inch square floor footprint. The cup size in the top is tapered down to about 2 3/4 or just a shade under. Sturdy black plastic with the cup in the top to keep things centered. Cons: I had 3-inch round plastic support feet for my queen frame and had to shave off some girth to make them square and allow them to rest fully into the base of the cup. The overall height of the riser is 6 inches, but it actually only raises the bed frame by 5 inches, because the cup itself is 1 inch deep. Even though I was wanting the 6 inches in height, the 5 is exactly what I needed. I also wish they came is something other than 4-packs. I had to buy three boxes because I needed 10 total. Now I have 2 left over, but oh well....

This morning at 2:33 AM I woke in a startled state mostly reserved for a near death experience. As it turns out, one of my four Kennedy Home Collection Bed Risers had broken, rapidly dropping one corner of my bed 6 inches. There was NO WAY that we had exceeded the weight limit documented for this product. I would highly discourage anyone from purchasing this item.

the Thinnest part of the risers hold the bed weight.,
This review is from: Trademark 6-Inch Black Bed Risers, 4-Pack (Kitchen)
One of the risers broke after 1 minute of sitting on the bed. And no, I did not jump on it. In fact, I was sitting in the middle of the bed at the time.I am 198 pounds, my bed is a queen with a box spring. And my bed frame is just a flat metal build, nothing fancy. I highly doubt that my total weight is anywhere near a half a ton. Or 1000 pounds. The top of the risers is about 1/8" thin. Or about .125 of an inch thin. That thin piece of plastic is what broke. That thin piece is what holds the weight of the bed. Its too bad, because the rest of the design is really sturdy looking and feeling. hope it is just a weak mold that i received and that everyone else who chooses this product gets a great one with a good experience, and not having your money and time wasted. But then again, how strong is 1/8 inch of plastic.

I recently bought a bed frame so I could have some extra storage space. However, the bed frame itself did not allow much space underneath the bed. So I purchased these bed raisers. I was hesitant because they are made of plastic, but the plastic is VERY strong. I had to buy 2 packs because I have an extra post in the middle of my bed for the center support bar. These were easy to put on (hardest part was lifting the bed by myself.. but I managed!) They raised my bed 6 inches and now I have room to store some things underneath! Another review said that one of them broke, so I'm glad I have 3 spares since I had to buy the extra pack. Although they seem very sturdy. The bed doesn't even move when you get in and out of it, and I just can't see them breaking. So far I'm really happy with this purchase! If they break or anything, I will update the review. It's only day 1 of having them on.Update: Been using these for 3 weeks or so now, and they are still going strong. They have not broken and the bed is still sturdy and doesn't move around when getting in and out. I'm definitely happy with my purchase - these were very affordable and they are doing a great job at giving me storage space. Plus, now my cat has a new favorite place to sleep... UNDER the bed instead of on top of it!

We have bunkies on our daughters' beds and these risers make the bed a great height to have room underneath without making the mattress too high. They are pretty sturdy, when the big brothers rough house, they can make them tilt, but they don't fall.

These are sturdy and perfect for raising other furniture up off the floor. I am 6'7" and these raised my couch to a comfortable height for me. I also bought a set for my bed and what a difference to be able to get out of bed like you are supposed to be able to do.

Risers for my bed,

Works great. I have the caster wheels on my bed frame and the square inset of the boxes fits them. Have not noticed any sliding of my bed or wobbling. None have punctured through yet, so I guess they have met all my expectations.

I thought that these would make my bed unsturdy, but my bed is just as sturdy as when I didn't have these. I am very impressed with this product!

No, I didn't have wild parties on my bed either. One of them broke while we were sleeping in the middle of the night and scared the crap out of me and my partner. We are average weight & height adults. I wanted the height, and I was able to fit luggage and tons of storage under the bed with these. Yet, I'm thinking that risers made out of wood is a better choice.
