This shark has a nasty bite,

I don't mean it literaly....its not going to take a bite out of you unless you stick your fingers in it.I bought this unit for my birds.It really has power and its easy to empty.When the filter gets dirty..you simply just rinse it off.This beauty came with attachments and a new belt.This machine has floor settings too which depending on your carpet.

As was mentioned in a previous review, the air does a 180 turn into the handle. That turn, however, is not the most critical design flaw. The most critical design flaw is that in order for the vacuum to function, air must be routed through the plastic handle. The thickness where the plastic handle locks into the telescoping tube is only about an eighth of an inch, and the pushing (especially on thicker rugs) can cause the plastic handle to snap (which happened to one I was working with, which was only owned for about half a year). What makes this worse is that Shark has the vacuum discontinued, and the handle is not a replacement part from them (nor have I found it online). If the handle breaks, you have a non-functioning vacuum with no recourse. Epoxy doesn't hold for very long, and the non-standard size of the pipes means that making a PVC equivalent would be difficult.
The picture is highly misleading as you'll notice neither the hose nor the handle is shown in the picture (I would link to it, but I don't believe it's allowed). Even a Google image search of the actual product will not show the hose, which leads me to believe they know it's a bad design. If you find an image from the manual, you'll see how the hose connects to the handle.

BEWARE!!! THIS VACUUM CLEANER CLOGS!! Bad design or something, I had my vacuum less than a year and I am completely disappointed. After removing all clogs, it still did not work properly. I finally had enough of it and threw it the hell away!
