5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Deck Avalable
The deck of 100% plastic cards from Bicycle are indead awsome. They are thicker than the standard plastic decks found on the market and are durable and flexable at the same time.

1.0 out of 5 stars Priced for high-end, but fails to deliver
The Dura-flex cards are actually more expensive than Copag on a per deck basis, but fail to match Copag's quality on several levels.

The Dura-flex cards are actually more expensive than Copag on a per deck basis, but fail to match Copag's quality on several levels.

First is that these cards are much easier to crease than you'd think. I creased a card on the very first shuffle in my first pack. Take a joker out of a Copag deck and a Bicycle deck, and bend them both at the same time. You'll notice that the Copag is *far* more resilient than the Bicycle Duraflex.

Second is how they feel in the hand. It is a textured feel, but one that is very unnautral. Its supposed to feel more like a standard paper card, but I think they missed the mark on this.

Third, the cards have a noticable chemical smell to them straight out of the package. When you shuffle the cards for the first time, you notice that this chemical is rubbing off on your fingers.

Fourth, QC seems to be much lower, as I had to look at packs on the shelf to make sure that I wasnt getting a pack with a creased card. Maybe that is because the cards are made in China. Other card makers have made quality craftsmanship a point of pride, whereas I dont feel this is the case for this specific Bicycle product.

If this was a $4-$5 deck, I'd give it a higher rating. But since it is trying to be competitive as a "high end" deck of cards and not the "middle range" deck that it truly is, I have to rate it 1 star.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the price, June 8, 2009
This review is from: Trademark 100% Plastic Bicycle Prestige Dura-Flex Rare Playing Cards (Blue) (Sports)
If this is your first deck of plastic cards, you would be impressed. However, if you've ever used a deck of kem, copag, modiano, dal negro, gemaco, fornier, ect. you will be highly disappointed. They are better than royals or vegas brand plastic cards, however. The packaging says that they have a paper-like feel, but they definitely feel like plastic. They are very textured, but still very slippery making them harder to shuffle unless you are used to plastic decks. They do seem extremely durable, I bent a card into a "U" shape, then touched the corners together, and it did not crease. They come in a hard plastic case, however it does not snap shut. They are poker sized, which is not stated on the box.

Now for the bad news:
First, these cards are extremely shiny. They have a crystalline shine to them unlike any other plastic card. Second, the graphics on them are standard bicycle. They are very plain and not detailed like kems and other cards. Third, these have a horrible chemical smell, bar none. Other plastic cards have a smell to them, but these take the cake. Fourth, is the cost. For less money you can can get a setup of copag, which are much nicer. For a little more you can get a setup of kems, which are by far the nicest cards you can buy in my opinion.

Unless you are buying these to add to your plastic card collection like I was, these cards are a definite pass. I paid $[...] for my deck, and they are not worth that. To me they are worth about $[...] if that.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great set of poker cards!, October 5, 2011

These cards are great. They stand up to use and weather well. The only issue I've seen is that the print does tend to fade over time/use. The cards themselves hold up exceptionally well, but you'll notice cracking/fading on the printed face of the cards (specially on black suits, and only on the faces) over time. As an avid poker player, I'm always looking for high quality cards that can be used in my normal house games. I don't want to buy a new deck for every game, and for that purpose these cards are great. They spread well, shuffle well, and feel great. It's uncanny how similar to regular cards these are (typically with plastic cards there are very noticable differences, but not with these).

If you're looking for a deck of cards that look and feel like regular cards, but have the durability of plastic cards - these are the cards for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5stars depending on the make..., May 26, 2011
This review is from: Trademark 100% Plastic Bicycle Prestige Dura-Flex Rare Playing Cards (Blue) (Sports)
I recently got bicycle Duraflex cards and mines are made in spain by Fournier and not China. So quality will greatly depend on make.
I have KEM cards and the Fournier's seem to be of exceptional quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great cards!, January 11, 2011

I have played with all sorts of plastic cards over the years, since I started playing poker about 8 years ago. For the price, these cards are perfect. KEM are nice, but the price is hefty and in my opinion, not worth it. I would definitely recommend getting a couple of these decks. Shipping was fast and the product was as good as described.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Cards for the Money, better than Copacs!, April 4, 2009
By
This review is from: Trademark 100% Plastic Bicycle Prestige Dura-Flex Rare Playing Cards (Blue) (Sports)
These are better than Copac cards and I would almost say as good if not better than Kem's!
For $10 a deck, you cant go wrong.
They are crease proof (no more marking the Aces!), thick plastic with a rough like finish.
They are pretty slick, might take some getting used to at first to shuffle.
For a serious home card game, these cards are highly recommended, you will not be disappointed at all.

1.0 out of 5 stars How are these considered RARE?, January 2, 2010

I don't see how these cards can claim to be RARE...they were not just a trial run, they have been in full production for over a year, and you can easily walk into Walmart and find a deck for cheaper than on here. Not sure how they are crease resistant since when I did buy a pack several cards were already creased when I opened it up. If you are going to buy these, don't get ripped off by purchasing them on here.
