I have had a Targus rolling bag for several years now, and it finally bit the dust. It was a sideloader and pretty deep which worked well for me, but I decided I'd prefer a top loader with not quite so much bulk to it that could be carried on my shoulder if necessary. I looked for hours online it seems like and kept coming back to this bag. It seemed to have the features I wanted without any unnecessary bulk. But I was concerned whether my 15.6 inch laptop would fit. The description suggested it might not, but I'm thinking, surely there is a little wiggle room. There was also a reviewer that said she got a 17" laptop in it, so I figured I would be okay, and I was tired of looking. Well, it didn't quite work out. The laptop section is definitely for 15.4 inch laptops. I can get mine in if I get it straight in, but getting it out almost takes two people - one to get their hand under the laptop and one to hold on to the bag. A 17" laptop would probably fit in the other section of the bag, but there isn't any padding to protect it in that section. I decided to keep the bag, and do a little surgery on the padding to give myself about an inch of additional space. I think the laptop will still be protected (the padding is very solid), and my co-worked who will do this for me will make it so there isn't any loose material to catch on. I like the bag otherwise and look forward to using it. The handle seems sturdy (more so than on the 17" bag my co-worker ordered which was also a Targus - not sure why they don't use the same design on all their bags). The wheels look like the ones I have on my old bag which have held up very well.

This bag is large enough for a large 15.4" laptop but still narrow enough for airplane aisles. Lots of individual pockets and places to stow items which makes them easier to find. There are even two small pouch style cases that attach to sides with Velcro and useful for keeping small items together, like a Ethernet cable and small mouse or other accessories or office items. Good padding for the interior and a well designed strap for when the roller wheels are not practical.

Excellent bag for the money and a good value for the road warrior. Whatever bag I have bought it gets beat up over the course of a year's travel and the expensive ones don't last any longer than the more economical ones. With this bag one is sacrificing nothing and getting a good travel case with wheels that is just the right size.

this bag holds a 17 inch laptop plus all of the accessories & much much more. the handle is long enough for my 6'4" husband to pull behind him with bending over. he loves is!
