I don't usually put a review on the Amazon seller's price but even if you get "free" s/h, the price here is 3x what you'd get at a local Trader Joe's, so I'm deducting 1 star.

ok, now as far as the product,I bought mine at my local TJ's for about $3 or $4 and it's great! my friend hit her hand on a door by accident and it was bruised and stinging and i only had a little bit with me in my travel purse but she IMMEDIATELY did NOT feel anymore stings. I put it in my small Humangear GoToob 3 Ounce (3 pack) Travel Bottle for traveling in case I cut myself by accident. The aloe vera is protected in a dark bottle so it doesn't decay fast. I even add it to my lotions to get that added protection from sunburns or from my skin being chapped and overexposed.

Here's the ingredients list:

Ingredients: Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Butylene Glycol, Calendula Officianalis Flower Extract, ARnica Montana Flower Extract, Tocophersolan, TEA-Carbomer, Methylparaben, Diazolidinyl Urea, DMDM Hydantion, Trisodium, EDTA

Update September 9, 2013

I haven't been using this aloe vera much except for cuts and scratches and added to my regular lotions, but I was at a baseball game last week in the HOT sun all day, I got burned BAD!! Even my Bath & Body works cherry blossom lotion did NOT help!! :-( When I got home, my skin was sooooo sensitive and painful to touch and even my bra straps hurt touching my shoulders, but when I slathered whole reams of this aloe vera on my sunburned arms, neck, and shoulders and face, I felt OOOOOH SOOOOO GOOD!! The pain became much less painful and I'm now soooo relieved I slathered it on.

Well it seems that Trader Joe's 99% pure aloe vera gel is no longer pure. -_-,
This used to be a really good aloe gel but it seems that it had undergone a makeover and with the new look the ingredients have changed as well as the smell blah!
There is NOTHING pure about this stuff anymore and on the new label it does not even claim to be 99% pure.
Sellers on amazon will not change the label because they don't want there sales to go down or r to lazy to change the name to just Trader Joe's aloe vera gel which I feel they should just so they don't mislead there buyers into thinking they r getting the same thing they have been buying.
Don't even get me started on the smell it is a really strong cheap floral smell that resembles cheap freshener or something.
Just really nasty.
I still can't get the smell out of my dinning room table.
All in all I will never buy this stuff again.
O when I tried to send it back ja I got nothing but trouble from the seller who tells me I have to wait to get my full refund until the Trader Joe's aloe I sent back gets to the seller.
As if I'm someone who would lie in some way just to keep this foul smelling junk really!
I have really dry skin and I make my own lotion with aloe to help with that and I'm strapped for cash.
So I can't wait for the stuff I returned to get back to the seller.
I live overseas and can't get what I need here that is why I shop at amazon in the first place.
I'm really at the point where I feel that I may need to take my business to a more reliable site this one is becoming as bad as ebay.
Way to show ur military how u feel about them right.
Just don't buy this unless u like cheap aloe.
I'm sorry if I keep going on and on I'm just very unhappy with this product and how things r being handle. -_-

I ordered this since I was running out of my Trader Joe's 99% Aloe Vera Gel that I ordered before. When I received this gel it is NOT the same as the photo/product I received before! It is more like a lotion than gel and has a strong fragrance!

I Use to use TJ's Aloe Vera for skin care - it was soothing &lovely on my face. The last container I bought was horrible! The texture was completely different - not at all pleasant - and it had a nauseating oder! When I looked at the ingredients, it was completely different, contains EDTA, a toxic preservative, fragrance which smelled like chemical, among other unknown ingredients. To call this product at all 'pure' is false advertising - nothing pure about this stuff! Bad move TJ. I took it back with my vehement complaint. But I did try to be nice to the front line staff. :) No star!!

I would like to give it ZERO STARS. We have always enjoyed using this product. My husband uses it regularly for his hair. This morning he opened a new bottle and my house is now filled with this absolutely awful fragrance. How could you do such a thing to such an excellent product? If you must have a fragrance PLEASE make an UNSCENTED version as well - the same one you had before. We will have to return this new bottle or throw it out. We are totally UNHAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT.
