First off, you should know most of the "construction" for this house is thin cardboard. To be honest, had I known this, I would not have purchased it. Two of the walls and the floor that make the room are thin sheets of printed cardboard, with the corner frame and center wall/frame piece made out of plastic, so if you have young children, or they get rough with it, it will probably be torn up easily. Also, I don't know if it was just a fluke with the one I recieved, or if they are all like this, but mine did not have the stamps, and a few other pieces that were shown on the box or mentioned in the instructions, however it did have other pieces that where not shown or mentioned. Also, many of the stickers did not fit the "approximate" areas correctly, and there were some areas that looked like they were supposed to have stickers, but there were no stickers for them.
All in all, if you would enjoy building and decorating your own dollhouse, this would be an easy starter house, however the quality of the building materials makes me feel that this would not be a lasting toy if actively played with. My children did enjoy decorating it, and playing with it, and it did come with lots of furniture and accessories that give them lots to play with. As we have two other large dollhouses (a Room by Room and a FP Loving Family), I figure when the structure of this one goes out, I'll just move the furniture and accessories into one of the other dollhouses for my children to play with.

Even for an 11 year old this is a difficult toy. It sounds like a really cool idea but it's not worth the money.
