I read this book and agree is it clear and concise - well written. Options are one of the more complex investment vehicles to understand. After signing up with my broker, ThinkOrSwim, and looking at all the features for options trading, and signing up for a trial of some of the option trade recommentations [...] and read some of the recommendations, I quickly realized how basic this book is. If you really get into options trading you will realize this book only scratches the surface of all the strategies out there.

After reading a few beginner books about buying and selling stocks, I found this stock options book very helpful. It really allows you to take the 'next step' into the world of stocks. The visuals present in the book were extremely helpful, and the examples provided portrayed options as simple, easy to perform trades. I'd recommend this book for beginners and beyond because of the detailed way things are explained. Even if you're just getting into stocks and are plowing through a book about general trading, this book is definitely manageable and will give you a heads up into the possibilities of the stock market.

An excellent overview of trading options, especially well written especially for those who have been intimidated by the concept of options trading. Examples are clear and reflect objectivity by the author, including those trades that didn't go so well -- lessons learned. Have been trading options for a few years and have done okay, but can enhance future trades with what I have learned from this book.

I am a stay at home housewife. I found this book to be a good primer for beginners who want to begin doing some simple option trading.

I found this book to be an excellent source for my everyday trading activities. I especially like the actual trades represented in the book. Too often trading resources tend to be too theoretical and not demonstrate actual trading practices.

One reason that I gave this book 5 stars is because it is full of actual trade data. Burns takes you through his actual trades as they occurred. This is a great way to learn the strategies and I've been recommending the book to people I know. The book is geared for beginners but I found just reading his trades to be interesting in their own account.

I LOVE Trading Stock Options. I wanted to get a basic understanding of how I might be able to use stock options to gain profit, and this was the best book I found so far. It was easy to understand and very well written. It will be helpful to just about anyone who is interested in learning the subject. What a great resource.

A simple, basic, book, but it covers actual trading and has everything you need to know. He gives you ideas that you can use to make money. Not much filler stuff, all facts and quick to read. I like it better than large books on options that I own. Lets say you have been trading calls successfully, and you decide you want to try selling puts or calls. You can review his information on this in just a few minutes, and maybe avoid a big mistake. At least you will know what is safe to do, and what involves unlimited risk. For someone who does his own trades, and likes to learn by doing, this is a great book to start with.

I really enjoy going through the math to help me understand the procedure. I am only through 1/3 of the book and I think I have come across one error. Page 41 line 7 should be: $160.00 or 21.3%.
The other authors just cannot understand that a picture is worth a thousand words!

I thought the book was a helpful guide for learning about options trading. I liked the number of actual trade examples as well as the large number of charts included.
